We leave tomorrow morning for New Zealand!  Just when I thought I would back off of landscape painting for a while....hmmm....Taking just a sketch book and a camera.  More soon!

Painting buddies

It is so important to have some people around you that get what you love and share the feelings of frustration, expansion and joy.  The phrase "Read any good books lately?" really means "What do you like that you think I will like too?"  or "Please share a little of the inside of your head with me..." I love my painting buddies and cannot have too many, and I especially need the ones that know the reality of what we reach for.

Oh My! I have a blog.

I finished a new "Dog" today, and I don't mean a loser.  Somehow, I get a wonderful satisfaction out of these portraits.  I feel like I get to know the critters that I am painting.  This will be a Christmas present from a client to her husband. 
















Classes are now over for the year and with the trip to New Zealand coming up I will not be teaching for at least 6 weeks.  Expect some new installments on my "Pure Emotion" series as I have four in the works just now.
